Our goal as the Design Department at Seymour Lumber is to work with you to provide a thoughtful well-developed house plan and to assist you in selecting quality building components.

If you choose, bring in your own plans or let us work with you to develop your ideas and turn your dreams into reality. We will work together on a preliminary floor plan and front elevation. When you’re satisfied, we will proceed with the elevations and foundation plan to complete a set of working drawings which you can submit to your builder for estimates and get your project rolling.

When your house plans are finalized, we will bill you for the drafting services. At this time, we will work up a material estimate at no additional fee and submit it to your general contractor. At the end of the construction process, we will issue a credit of up to 1/2 the cost of the plans.


What You Will Receive as Part of our Services

• A thoughtful, well-developed floor plan that meets your approval.
• Up to 8 sets of working drawings consisting of elevations, foundation plan & floor plan.
• Your general contractor will be provided with a comprehensive easy to follow material list which they will need to work up a price to complete the job.

All plans are eligible for up to 50% credit with material purchase from Seymour Lumber

A deposit of $200.00 will be collected to begin work on plans. Payment for completed plans will be invoiced to you and due accordingly. In the event that we begin design services and there is no effort made to complete a set of working drawings, we will review the time log for the project and bill accordingly per hour for the time spent on your project.
